Iron Chicken Kitchen’s First Farmers Market

Iron Chicken Kitchen’s First Farmers Market

Last week I attended the first farmers market as a vendor—it was so much fun, I’m going back this week!

My town of Erie, Colorado, just north of Denver, is a small, former mining town that is now sprouting housing subdivisions like spring crocus. Since moving here at the end of December, I’ve been busy planning to sell at two farmers markets: Erie and Broomfield, where I used to live.

Although I had no idea what to expect, I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of setting up (thank you, Husband, for the muscle and support!) and the ease of speaking to the hundreds of people that came by. Sales were good and the camaraderie among vendors was really great, too.

I’m slotted to be in the Erie market every Thursday from 5pm—8pm through September 9th. I’ll have all of my products that are available here online, plus free samples of the crackers and Bread-Dipping Herbs & Spices.

I will also be in the Broomfield Farmers Market every Tuesday from 4pm—7pm from June 15th through the end of September.

If you want to keep up with where the Iron Chicken Kitchen will appear on any given day, check out my Calendar of Events here.

In between markets, I’m teaching ESL as usual and furiously baking crackers and mixing spices to be ready to serve to the community. Hope you’ll join me there or engage by leaving a comment or purchasing something here on the website.

Have a great week!
