Who am I?

I’m Karren Doll Tolliver. I grew up in a small Midwestern American town, learning to grow, harvest and cook nourishing food from the Heartland. Some of my earliest memories are of helping my grandmother pick huge, red tomatoes from her garden and learning how to can them in jars for the winter. That is, the ones we didn’t eat right away.

Throughout my life, no matter what else I was doing (IT systems engineer, ESL instructor, webmaster, travel writer) I always focused on perfecting my cooking skills and collecting family recipes from friends, coworkers, and clients. In fact, I’ve published several cookbooks containing family recipes from all over the world—after testing each one and translating it into something achievable by USA home cooks. Buy them on Amazon!
